TOPIC: "Something went wrong" message Trisul 2.4

"Something went wrong" message Trisul 2.4 11 years 7 months ago #786

It seems like while installing the new webtrisul, you untarred it over the old 2.4 build.
The right procedure is to remove the webtrisul directory and then untar the new release.
The settings and data will all be preserved as they arent stored there.

Can you try this to recover ?

1. Stop Webtrisul if running
/etc/init.d/webtrisuld stop

2. GO back and rename or remove the /usr/local/share/webtrisul directory.
Once again nothing to worry about, all settings and data are safe !

3. Tar new 2.6 release
tar xf webtrisul...tar.gz -C /usr/local/share

4. Now restart
/usr/local/share/webtrisul/build/webtrisuld start

I am online for next few hours, let me know if that works !

Apparently, this was the case (although I have no idea how I unpacked the 2.4 instead of the 2.6 version).
On the other hand, I am attempting to set Trisul to capture the trafic over a 3G modem (ppp0 interface), but I can't seem to receive any data.
Do you have any idea why?

I wonder what kind of encapsulation the particular adapter is providing. Can you send me a few packets ?

Run the following command for a few seconds - Ctrl-C to stop
sudo tcpdump -i ppp0 -s 0 -w /tmp/mypackets.pcap

Email the /tmp/mypackets.pcap to vivek at unleashnetworks dot cmo
