TOPIC: Ethernet bonding

Ethernet bonding 17 years 5 months ago #66

Hi,

I use Linux for Ethernet-Bonding to analyze network-traffic via a tap device and import the data to unsniff.

Is there a possibility to bond two ethernet-network-channels under Windows ???

thanks,

Timm

Hi Timm,

We are not very familiar with the Linux Ethernet Bonding feature.

On Windows however, you can use link aggregation based on 802.3ad to combine multiple ethernet interfaces. You may need to purchase a card that supports this feature though.

Unsniff will be able to work with bonding (link aggregation) using the Raw Sockets provider. If you use Winpcap, it may not work - we have not tested with it yet.

Does this help ?
