TOPIC: Plugins for \"modern\" SMB

Hi Scott,

Are you using Windows XP/2000 on both shares ? Or are you using a Linux/Samba share on either side ?

We want to recreate this setup in our test lab. I am anxious to fix this because it works fine for us. We transfer even 10MB files and it constructs user objects. Our max size is a somewhat artificial limit of 100MB.

Thanks for your patience,
Vivek

Everything is XP or 2000.

Is there some way I can get my configuration to you?

Scott,

You can email me vivek [at] unleashnetworks [dot] com.

If possible, can you transfer a file containing non-confidential data between the two shares ? You can email the capture to the above email address. That would be the fastest way.

We tried to simulate a XP share here, it works fine.

If you are looking at icons or bitmaps, SMB seems to transfer the image over for constructing the thumbnail, so that counts as two. If there are other file types appearing twice, it is probably a bug.

Vivek Rajan
