New with MIBS and SNMP. 13 years 6 months ago #333

Hello,

I am trying the 30 days trial of Unbrowse SNMP. But I need to know or get a direction on walking several agents/IP where SNMP is running to view the temperature of each of those unit there are about 700 of them.

I can get the info one by one, but the goal is to get a global view of all the terminals at one glance. And I do have the MIB from the product.

I am fairly new to this and I find very interesting. Can someone give me an insight fairly soon?

Greatly appreciate this.

Hi,

You can certainly use Unbrowse to monitor a few MIB variables. In the walker window, select a variable and press the Track button. This will bring up a chart showing these variables even from multiple routers. This works fine for a few objects.

However, this is not going to scale very well. What you need is a SNMP performance monitoring system like Nagios. Have you looked at those ?

THanks,
