TOPIC: Info : Trisul is 64-bit only

Info : Trisul is 64-bit only 13 years 2 months ago #373

Some people are having trouble getting Trisul to run. A common reason - is they are trying to run on a 32-bit OS.

1. Trisul needs a 64-bit O/S to run
2. The RPM / DEB may appear to install normally but the process will not startup. The error messages may not be very useful.

So please ensure you have a 64-bit Ubuntu 10.04 or Centos 5.x before installing Trisul.

Enjoy !

Hi,

Should work on 11.04 64-bits too.

Try this :

1. Are you able to login (u=admin/p=admin) ?

2. Are you seeing any stats on the Hosts dashboard ? I assume not.

3. Go to Admin > Tasks - Check if Trisul is running. If not press the Start Trisul button.

4. The default setting is Trisul listens on eth0 - are you expecting traffic on eth0 ? To change it go to Customize > Profiles

If nothing works, go to Admin > Tasks > View Logs . Select System Log - post any error messages here. The raw log files are stored in /usr/local/var/log/trisul/ns*.log - you can grep for any lines containing "ERROR"

Reply back on this forum, lets get this up and running.
