Can someone help, I am trying to move to 2.0 and getting this error.

I already having libpcap installed. Doing
sudo apt-get install libpcap-0.8 doesnt help.

Any news on this I am getting the same
also getting the same when running as root??

There is something missing here just tried version 1.4.811
and getting the same errors, I do not normally shout, but

WHAT ARE THE SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS AND THE PREREQUISITES!!!!!!!!

You need to install or symlink your libpcap to libpcap-1.0 to make it work. We got a lot of complaints by email.

Anyway dont worry about it.We now statically link libpcap.

Download the new Ubuntu build now. It should work.

Make sure you have a 64-bit Ubuntu or CentOS. You can find the requirements listed on the download page.
