We have a new maintenance release of Trisul 3.6 ( Build # 1623) available for download.

This fixes a file handle leak issue for those running Trisul with the free license. Please upgrade immediately it could really fix any stability issues you might be having.

The issue

1) Trisul stores raw packets in files named SLICE_XXXXXX
2) The free license sets the size of these files at 1GB and as they fill up the slices "slide along" the oper -> ref -> archive directory.
3) From the archive directory they slice along to /dev/null. IE. they are deleted.
4) Trisul would leak 1 FILE HANDLE per slice.
5) After a while it hits the max file handles limit of linux and essentially becomes unstable.

The new release fixes this.
